RiseLaxmi Paper Trading Simulator Field Rules
The operational guidelines, regulatory constraints, and scoring mechanisms governing virtual trading accounts on the RiseLaxmi sandbox.
Starting Virtual Capital & Solvency Rules
Every student receives NPR 5,00,000 in virtual cash upon registration. Cash is held in a simulated trading wallet and is deducted immediately upon order execution. If your cash balance drops below the minimum trade size, you may reset your account to NPR 5,00,000 using the "Reset Account" option on the dashboard.
Realistic Broker Commission & Tax Modeling
Unlike generic paper trading apps that ignore transaction costs, the RiseLaxmi simulator calculates exact Nepali transaction expenses:
- Broker Commission: Tiered between 0.40% and 0.27% based on official SEBON equity slabs.
- SEBON Regulatory Fee: 0.015% applied to every buy and sell order.
- DP Fee: Flat NPR 25 per transaction paid to CDS and Clearing Limited.
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT): 7.5% for short-term retail trades (<365 days) or 5% for long-term investments (≥365 days) automatically deducted from net trading profits.
2026 ±15% Circuit Band Validation
Limit orders cannot be placed outside the legal ±15% price band derived from the prior day's close. The simulator engine will automatically reject any order exceeding the upper or lower circuit limits with a regulatory alert.
Strict Prohibition of Naked Short Selling
In compliance with Securities Act of Nepal, naked short selling does not exist in NEPSE. You may only execute a SELL order on shares that already exist in your active Portfolio holdings.
